Theoretically that should fix one of my issues with these frames. They also make a few models with acetate frames which will probably be my next pick up. If you want a cheaper pair of glasses with pretty darn good lens clarity I would suggest these. significantly nicer lens quality than similarly price polycarbonate garbage that I often see floating around. They look pretty stylish, kindof a retro feel. Dominate the dive bar (and really anywhere you go) with the Folly. It doesn't really pop out or actually effect anything.Īll in all I like these alot. One noticeable thing, when they flex it seems like one of the lenses shifts in its groove and then sets back when they are returned to normal position. The good thing is that they are lightweight and don't feel heavy on the face. Pretty elastic and it feels durable but does not feel premium. ![]() The frames are made of a lightweight plastic. I oiled them and they are much better now. The worst part about these are the hinges very stiff with no spring. You can definitely see the difference in clarity between the glass lenses and the cr39 in these, however comparing them to the Maui Jim mavericks with the Mauipure lenses I honestly couldn't really tell the difference but also don't really know what to look for. The clarity is actually wonderful on these for the price (63 after tax). So the lenses are the best part of these, not too dark, not too light.
